Sydney Scores Its First Dedicated KitKat Chocolatory

Cool Sh*t, Eat, Sydney / 3 July 2020

Take a break at KitKat’s first flagship Sydney chocolatory in the heart of the CBD.

You’re back at the gym and have been meal prepping your lunches all week. Heck, you’ve even switched your usual 2pm coffee for a cup of green tea. Go you! But if want to add a bit of balance into your routine, we’ve found just the spot to do it.

With Dry July upon us (psst.. don’t forget to enter our comp to WIN the ultimate non-alcoholic cocktail kit here), you might be looking for a fun (booze-free) way to treat yourself. If that’s the case, make a bee-line for Sydney’s first dedicated KitKat Chocolatory. Set to swing open its door on July 6th, this is KitKat’s first Sydney flagship store, opened after the success of their Melbourne outpost (which opened back in 2017).

So what on earth is a chocolatory? If the first thing that springs to mind is a scene from the magical world of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, you’re not far off. In fact, KitKat’s Sydney chocolatory will boast a chocolate-fuelled shop, tasting bar and interactive workshop station.

KitKat Sydney

At this luxe sweet spot expect to find the biggest selection of KitKat goodies you’ve ever encountered, with plenty of unexpected treats that wouldn’t typically find on supermarket shelves.

Located in the Mid City shopping centre on Pitt Street, this wonderland of chocolatey goodness is set to offer a premium experience. In fact, you can create your own chocolate treat (with over 30,000 possible combinations on offer. Simply pick your chocolate base and patch it with a bunch of tasty treats before wrapping it all up in your own custom packaging.

But if you want to let someone else do the hard work, take a seat and enjoy a 90-minute dessert degustation at the store’s dedicated tasting table.

Plus, keep an eye out for new limited edition creations served exclusively at the store (with everything from yuzu ganache to cotton candy set to be in the works).
