The Orange Winter Fire Festival delivers an epic weekend of wine and food this July.
Need an excuse to rug up, escape the city and pull out the winter woollies? We’ve found just the weekend getaway for you. Now in it’s third year, the Orange360 has just announced that the Orange Winter Fire Festival is back for 2020. This three-day festival is set to take place in the heart of Orange from July 31st the August 2nd, giving all of us the chance to experience the best this acclaimed foodie region has to offer.
But like every event in 2020, this year’s Orange Winter Fire Festival will run a little differently. The format will offer a smaller curated selection of in-person events, allowing attendees an intimate glimpse into this beautiful part of NSW.
Throughout the weekend, expect a stellar line-up of memorable events including the First Nations Australia meets wild-style Southern Italian dining experience, featuring a five-course set menu heroing delicious dishes such as emu on wombok with bush pesto, crocodile marinated in lemon myrtle, warrigal greens and a signature Antica Australis kangaroo cannelloni dish followed by finger lime gelato. They’ll be 3 sessions per day running the entire weekend, with limited seats available.
Plus don’t miss Philip Shaw Wine’s Smoke & Fire Dinner, featuring a three-course set menu cooked over fire and smoke, showcasing game and local seasonal produce. Get in quick, there are limited seats available for Friday and Saturday night only.
Join a screening of the experimental docudrama short film Inferno, created by award-winning Orange-based filmmaker Samuel Rodel on Friday night. And to cap off your experience, join Dindima Wines for a unique Australia Indigenous astronomy and culture lesson under the stars on Sunday night.
