Inspiration for the latest edition
Built for adventure, Brad Leone has been taking Roccbox along on his culinary expeditions for years, from fly fishing on the rivers of Wyoming to oyster shucking on the banks of Rhode Island. The Brad Leone Roccbox honours the wild locations and original ingredients he’s used. The limited edition features a dark “ranger” green and black colourway inspired by Brad’s local Connecticut forests and a custom built-in temperature gauge embossed with his latest hit YouTube series “Makin’ It” logo. Additionally, a botanical illustration of a Wild Ramp root is etched into the oven’s faceplate to represent Brad’s journey from test kitchen chef to forager.
Good-to-know features
The Roccbox is the original stone-floor portable oven. It reaches temperatures of up to 500 degrees celsius and has a 19mm thick stone floor and dense layers of insulation designed with restaurant oven proportions so you can cook pizza after pizza without a drop in temperature. The oven is dual-fuel and includes a propane burner, with the option to add a wood-fire burner for an additional $100 so you can pick between the convenience of gas or the romanticism of wood-fired cooking. It also comes with a “Placement Peel” to take the pizza out of the oven. The safe-touch silicone cladding means it is safe to use around little hands which also you peace of mind.
What occasions is it good for?
Roccbox might not be the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to camping accessories but it’s actually the perfect addition. It’s portable, compact and simple to set up. Its retractable legs make it great for uneven surfaces and easy storage while travelling. Plus you get restaurant-quality cooking when on the road. From Neapolitan pizza to wood-roasted steak, Roccbox makes wood-fired cooking simple. It’s also really fun for entertaining. We recently hosted a pizza party in the backyard and guests enjoyed adding their own signature toppings. We even made some dessert pizzas with Nutella and strawberries which were a delight (and cooked in less than 60 seconds)!
