Sit back and soak up the opulent designer backdrop featuring live lobster tanks and an impeccable drinks list at Luna Lu.
Luna Lu is the latest no-expense-spared eatery to join the ranks at Campbell’s Cove. The newly restored waterfront dining destination earned quite the name for itself with Ploos, Bay Nine Omakase, and the more established 6HEAD within its assemblage. Luna Lu’s hopes to offer a new indulgent choice for long business lunches and memorable experiences, all set to unsurpassable views.
Chef Lucas Doan heads the kitchen straight from the ranks of Mr. Wong, a restaurant Luna Lu hopes to rival with its contemporary Asian-inspired offering. Doan has been granted total creative freedom in the kitchen, developing a menu based around his own Chinese/Vietnamese heritage.
The star of Doan’s show is a 180g Marble 9 Black Opal Striploin, the most hard-to-find marble score, measured in less than 1% of Wagyu cows. Closely followed by offerings from the live Lobster Tank, which takes pride of place at the front of Luna Lu’s kitchen – customers can take their pick of a live Eastern Rock Lobster, and have it prepared with wok-fried Chinese yi mein noodles and dressed with a signature house-made Luna Lu XO sauce.
The Asian twist on the Chocolate Brownie dessert is served in the form of a ‘grammers dream. A chocolate Pagoda-shaped shell encasing a warm chocolate brownie with crushed honeycomb, topped with chantilly cream and a raspberry and pomegranate sauce that has to be seen to be believed.
Indulge in one of the oldest wines in the world from their rare and eclectic drinks list, featuring Chinese Yellow Wine. Each bottle is encased in an exquisite porcelain vessel, which is yours to take home to keep. A selection of Chinese distilled grain spirit Baijiu is also on offer, along with Sake and Japanese whisky options (including Asahi Dassai 45% Junmai Daiginjo Migaki).
The fit-out is just as awe-inspiring as the menu, bespoke furniture ruling inside and out, peppered with boldly shaped loungers and marble tables. Tables are painstakingly laid with hand-made ceramics, cutlery and chopsticks edged with gold and engraved with ‘Luna Lu’ for a true luxe feel.
Experience Luna Lu’s offering from The Dining Dome – a striking, standalone Dome situated on the terrace with panoramic views of the Bridge and Opera House, available for private bookings. Find out more at Luna Lu’s website.
