Loulou Bistro and Petit Loulou are set to bring sophisticated French dining to the CBD in February 2025.
Mark your diary and prepare to say “oui” to one of Sydney’s most exciting openings planned for 2025. Loulou Bistro, Boulangerie, and Traiteur, beloved for their French cuisine in Lavender Bay, is bringing its charm to Martin Place next February. Located at 1 Elizabeth Street in Martin Place, the new venue will include two exciting concepts: Loulou Martin Place, a bistro and bar, and Petit Loulou, a café patisserie.
Loulou Martin Place will evoke the essence of Parisian bistros with a cosmopolitan edge inspired by New York’s brasseries. The 130-seat venue sprawls across two split levels, extending into alfresco dining along Elizabeth Street—a prime spot for leisurely meals and prime people-watching. The menu offers a lighter twist on contemporary and classic French dishes, drawing inspiration from the sunny south of France.
Next door, Petit Loulou delivers a bustling café patisserie experience designed for Sydney’s fast-paced CBD crowd. Freshly baked croissants, flaky viennoiseries, and indulgent cakes sit alongside savoury staples like rotisserie chicken baguettes, Niçoise salads, and the café’s infamous sausage rolls. Primarily geared toward takeaway, Petit Loulou also features a cosy seating area for 25, perfect for those dodging the office desk.
Adam Petta, CEO of Etymon Projects, says the new location will marry the familiar charm of Lavender Bay with a distinctly CBD vibe. “We’re thrilled to bring Loulou’s relaxed sophistication to such a dynamic and central location.”
Opening in February 2025, Loulou is poised to become Sydney’s go-to destination for all things French. From leisurely bistro dining to a quick café pick-me-up, this new spot is set to charm the city. Bon appétit!
