Endless fries anyone?
If eating healthier was your New Year’s resolution in 2020, you may want to get ready for an ultimate cheat day – an all you can eat buffet dedicated to the humble fried potato is hitting Melbourne. Maximum chips (aptly named) sits within the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival happening between 19th-29th March 2020, but mark your calendars because the hot chip extravaganza is only on for one day on 20th March from 5pm-10pm.
Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, especially in the world of fries. Expect to see all different kinds of cuts at Maximum Chips – from the classic shoestring, French fry, crinkle cut, wedge and even the controversial waffle fry. Pick your favourite and eat to your heart’s content, or sample from a range of more than 8 different types of fries if you can’t pick a favourite. Anything goes at the hot chips festival!
For those who enjoy a little sauce on the side to accompany their chips, there will be an entire smorgasbord of sauces, salts and condiments provided by the Condiments Crew to ensure everything is provided for your own dipping pleasure.
Ticket prices are at $35 a person and includes a welcome drink, live entertainment at the venue, and of course unlimited chips. The event is cashless though, so put away your money and remember to bring a credit/debit card to make food and additional drink purchases.
Bank of Melbourne customers can also get an exclusive discount by entering the first six digits of their issued card in the promo code field. Limit of 4 tickets per transaction.
‘An ode to the humble chip in all its forms, Maximum Chips is a Friday night party that’s simply irresistible,’ the event organisers said. For all lovers of fries, this is an unmissable festival to get more than your money’s worth in delicious fried potato goodness.
