Melbourne’s Prosecco Festival is coming back for its third year

Drink, Melbourne / 28 January 2020

Anyone up for prosecco infused gelato?

Get ready to pop some bottles! Melbourne’s ever so popular festival of sparkling wine is returning to the Northcote Townhall on 29th February 2020 (how’s that for a leap year?) For the third time running, the Prosecco Festival is offering an exclusive affair for the lovers of fine wine and cuisine to meet the growers, winemakers and importers from Italy and Australia. Better yet – Australia’s first Prosecco and Spritz Bar, Van Di Vino, will also be making an appearance, making this a day to remember

Festival-goers can explore over 40 different types of the best Prosecco in Australia available for tasting. Find the one that suits your palate by indulging in a taste of Italy from the likes of Tenuta 2 Castelli, Col Del Lupo, Silvano Follador, & Calneggia. Australia’s finest producers aren’t left out in the mix. You can experience our country’s best sips including Brown Brothers, Pizzini wines, Box Grove Vineyard and Tentham Estate.

It wouldn’t truly be an Italian celebration without a feast involved! The festival will be lined with prosecco pairing foods. Eat to your hearts content with award-winning 400 Gradi serving up their famous traditional Neapolitan pizza, creamy and bite-szed arancini balls from Arancini art, gelato (with one especially infused with prosecco) from Zero Gradi, Yes Porketta, and of course, lots of cheesey goodness from That’s Amore. There will also be a selection of cured prosecco salami meats from The Meat Room, and prosecco flavoured cannoli’s. Vegan and gluten free attendees will also be catered for in the food department.

Each ticket purchased to the Prosecco Festival gives you access for tastings, a Plumm tasting glass to use on the day and take home, a festival program and a limited edition tote bag for you to stock up your bottles of vino. For the prosecco lovers who want more out of their day, VIP tickets are available for each session. This will get you a 45 minute masterclass with renowned Prosecco Queen and founder of the festival – Melissa Brauer – along with access to the VIP balcony with grazing table, Prosecco from Australia’s first Prosecco, Dal Zotto wines and a Select Aperitivo Venetian Spritz experience, thanks
to Alepat Taylor.
