From today, YCK Laneways will be launching a 6-week events series in the CBD.
Our CBD is brimming with some of the city’s best bars, restaurants, and eateries. But sometimes it can be tough to branch out and try a new spot. That’s where this exciting new event series comes in, bringing together 10 top small bars in the Sydney CBD for 6 weeks of events and activations.
Get ready for YCK Laneways, running from April 7th until May 22nd, 2021. Bringing together 10 small bars, the new YCK precinct will be launched with the YCK Laneways Block Party, delivering a range of cultural and foodie events at your favorite CBD bars.
The precinct takes its name from its location, spanning across York, Clarence, and Kent streets. This inaugural block party will see these bars collaborate and inspire Sydneysiders to visit and play in the CBD once again.
At the YCK Laneways Block Party expect 75 epic events across 10 bars, with over 100 artists coming together from across Sydney. Your favourite CBD bars will be taking part, including Since I Left You, Papa Gede’s, The Lobo, Spawn Point, The Barber Shop, The Duke of Clarence, Stitch Bar, Uncle Mings, Prince of York, and Grandma’s Bar.
As for the event’s program, expect to be dazzled, serenaded, and educated with a dynamic line-up spanning dance, theatre, interactive art, live music, and storytelling. They’ll be Drag Queen Bingo, light installations, fire dancing, live music, DJ sets, burlesque shows, pop culture trivia and so much more.
The best bit? There’s set to be both FREE and ticketed events throughout the next 6 weeks with both walks-in and bookings available. Due to capacity limits, attendees are encouraged to book ahead online to avoid disappointment.
YCK has been made possible with support from the City of Sydney, and Platinum Sponsors Patrón Tequila and Bombay Sapphire. To find out more and book your spot at an upcoming event, click here.
