Bottomless BBQ & Beer at Surly’s American Tavern (Every Sat & Sun)

Surly’s is kickin’ off August with a bang. Expect mouth-watering meats smoked in our Ole Hickory paired with ice-cold beer.  For $85 a head you and your pals can feast on unlimited American BBQ, corn bread, pickles and fries. Melbourne International Film Festival’s Virtual Program (Aug 6th to 23rd)

For the first time ever, the Melbourne International Film Festival is going ahead entirely online, delivering an 18-day festival that every Aussie can tune into from home. Running from Thursday, August 6th to Sunday, August 23rd, get ready for MIFF 68½, delivering the 2020 program as a digital film festival. Find out more here.

North Bondi Fish’s We Love Our Locals Menu (Until August 30th)

North Bondi Fish is bringing the community back together, collaborating with some of their favourite local businesses to create a cocktail menu that captures the laid-back lifestyle of Australia’s most popular beachside suburb.
The ‘We Love Our Locals’ cocktail menu is a collaboration with local Bondi haunts Speedos Cafe, Lox Stock & Barrel, Bondi Ink and retailers Nimble Activewear and Bondi Born who have all designed their favourite recipes for a beachside cocktail, available on the menu from 22nd July – 30th August. Nights with tenXdining Bondi Beach (Tues to Sat until August 15th)

After recently popping up in the kitchen of Good One Bondi Beach, the Israeli takeaway joint tenXdining has just launched a dine-in restaurant in the heart of Bondi. Operating from the Good One Cafe site, the Mediterranean restaurant will be serving from Tuesday to Saturday until August 15th, offering a delicious menu of dishes including Prawn Bourekas with Shellfish Beurre Blanc and Chives, Cauliflower drizzled in Tahini and Schug and Persimmon Salad with Black Pepper, Coriander and Garlic.

This year, Pier One’s Igloos On The Pier is open from June 19th the August 30th, with an epic series of luxe igloos experiences to enjoy. Barolo & Barbaresco Wine Dinners at I Maccheroni (Aug 6th and 13th)

Woollahra’s much-loved Italian restaurant, I Maccheroni, has announced it will uncork 10 of the rarest Barolo and Barbaresco wines to accompany a degustation of 10 of its most mouth-watering dishes for three nights only in July and August. Barolo and Barbaresco wines are some of the world’s greatest and most distinctive and are produced in the northern Italian region of Piemonte. Known as the ‘king of wines’, Barolo and Barbaresco wines are rich and full-bodied, with a strong presence of acidity, rose flower and dried herbs.

The Barolo & Barbaresco Wine Dinners are available on August 6th and August 13th with only 10 places available per night. BOMBAY SAPPHIRE’s Sip & Learn Virtual Events (Aug 6th and Aug 13th)

Bombay Sapphire is collaborating with local Australian artists to launch a series of virtual ‘Sip & Learn’ sessions designed to inspire creativity at home. Working with Melbourne-based collage artist, Maximillian Malone, and Sydney-based visual artist, Ngaio Parr, the FREE Sip & Learn sessions will be held over two Thursdays in August, and are designed to help virtual attendees find their inner creative and invites them to sip their favourite Bombay Sapphire cocktail as they learn these new skills.
