Sip Champagne, wine and dine in one of these pop-up igloo bars.
Those chilly mornings and weeks of limited sunlight might be ahead of us, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be embracing Sydney’s cooler months with a touch of glamour. Back by popular demand are Pier One’s iconic igloo bars. After breaking the internet for the past two years, you’ll find the same Nordic-inspired pop-up igloo bars, with some new exciting additions.
Relax and unwind in The Hot Tub Igloo, with Pier One giving groups of up to six friends the chance to sink into their very own private hot tub, sipping on cocktails and Mumm Champagne as the sun sets over the harbour. The experience comes complete with fluffy robes, slippers and access to Pier One’s fitness centre to change and dry off.
An idyllic location for a waterfront get together, the Winter Luxe Igloos can accomodate 10 to 15 guests in a 3 hour-long cocktail style experience. Surrounded by luxe winter furnishings, you can drink magnums of Champagne and cocktails, with canapés also available.
Floating on a pontoon is the new Snow Globe Igloo. Decked out all in white, you can enjoy the ebb and flow of being right on Sydney’s Harbour whilst you and your friends take in the iconic sights. For a more romantic evening, be sure to check out the Dream Igloo Suit. This package gets you a Harbour View room at Pier One Hotel, with a personal igloo set up on your own private balcony.
It’s time to rally the troops, this epic experience is available from 17th May until 31st August. Perfectly positioned along the Pier, not only can you marvel over the iconic harbour sunset, but also take in the eye-catching Vivid festivities, which will be running until 16th June.
This experience isn’t however for people not willing to spend some serious dosh. Minimum spends range from $300 to $750, with the hot tub experience also setting you back a $200 hire fee. That being said, such a price is still a far cry from the cost of heading to the Arctic and experiencing the real Igloo deal, right?
