The pastry chef behind the Strawberry Watermelon Cake has created a new range of top-notch brekkie treats.
It’s not often that a dessert rises to this level of national fame. But when it comes to the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, this sweet treat has become one of Australia’s most popular desserts. In fact, the Black Star Pastry crew has dubbed this cake the ‘World’s Most Instagrammed Cake’, and it’s not hard to see why. This picture-perfect tiered creation looks just as good as it tastes, attracting eager crowds at stores across the country.
And now, one of the team members from Black Star Pastry has turned his attention the most important meal of the day: breakfast. The pastry chef in question is Christopher Thé (founder of Black Star Pastry), who finished up with the Black Star team in 2019. Since then, Thé has been on a search for his next project which has led him to create an exclusive range of delicious savoury brekkie treats.
In collaboration with Salt Meats Cheese, Thé has launched This Is Us, a new range of gourmet retail brekkie products. At this stage the range is curated to just a handful of products: six delicious handmade and vac-sealed pizzas crafted by Salt Meats Cheese and two delicious brekkie favourites (crumpets and English muffins) crafted by Thé.
As for Thé’s products, expect preservative-free sourdough crumpets and English muffins designed to elevate your brekkie experience. This gourmet range, available exclusively at Harris Farm Markets in NSW, is on a mission to bring farm to kitchen dining experiences to the homes of diners across Sydney and beyond. Each curate product is carefully prepared under the guidance of Thé and Salt Meats Cheese’s top chefs.
