Tuck into true-blue tucker this Australia Day long weekend at Munich Brauhaus, Beerhaüs and The Bavarian.

With three days of blissful freedom on the horizon, we’re all racing to lock in plans for the Australia Day long weekend. From hitting the road for a quick getaway to eating and drinking around your own backyard, there’s plenty of ways to celebrate the first public holiday of 2020. And if you’re planning to stay in town this long weekend, here’s just the limited-edition menu you need to check out.

From Saturday, January 25th to Monday, January 27th, Rockpool Dining Groups’ Bavarian restaurants will be serving up a true-blue menu of Australia-inspired eats this long weekend. Flock to Munich Brauhaus, Beerhaüs and The Bavarian across the city to indulge in a limited-edition feast of Australia Day classics all weekend long.

Tuck into an Australia Day loaded schnitzel, available in two sizes: 180 grams or 360 grams ($19-$32), smothered and loaded with bacon, fried eggs and gooey melted Australian cheddar cheese. Plus, diners can experience an Aussie Cheeseburger ($18) served with hot chips and even a giant Bunnings-inspired hot dog ($18). To wash it all down, these Bavarian restaurants will be pouring schooners of local craft beer for just $7.50 a pop all weekend.

But that’s not where the Aussie-inspired celebrations end this long weekend. Head to Munich Brauhaus to experience quirky challenges, Aussie-themes best dressed competitions each day, DIY zinc booths plus inflatable beer steins floating around the restaurant (perfect to grab that ‘gram with your crew). To set the mood for a weekend of celebrations, live bands will be hitting the stage from 11am, playing hits from the 80s to now with DJs hitting the decks from 9pm.

For those keen to hear all the winners from Triple J’s Hottest 100, Munich Brauhaus will be playing the line-up all day Saturday (January 25th). Plus, the team will be there to serve your hangover self on Monday, January 27th will a recovery session of live acoustic music to help you ease back into the work week ahead.
