Destination NSW is launching Sydney Solstice, a must-see winter event series.
The change of seasons is well and truly upon us, and autumn is only just getting started. As we wave farewell to summer, we’re all turning our attention to cosy underground bars, intimate dining rooms, and old-school pubs. And if you’re looking for the best events to add to your radar during the cooler months, we’ve found one of them.
Say hello to Sydney Solstice, the brand new winter festival launched by Destination NSW. Set to celebrate its inaugural year in 2021, expect an unmissable winter festival bringing together Sydney’s best venues, chefs, artists, and musicians across four bustling festival precinct.
Save the date: Sydney Solstice will be running from June 8th to June 20th 2021. This 10-day festival is actually happening in the lead up to the longest night of the year, helping to get us all in the mood for the winter season with world-class food and drinks as well as incredible cultural, entertainment and dining precincts across Sydney.
The aim of the Sydney Solstice event is to invite local sand visitors to enjoy the best our harbour city has to offer. It’s hoped to give a much-needed boost to our local economy, with a range of headline events including live music performances, culinary experiences, local art and immersive workshops to take use from our city’ urban laneways to city landmarks.
While details are scare at the moment, we do know that Sydney Solstice will take place across four key cultural precincts: the CBD, Darling Harbour and surrounds, Oxford Street and Newtown.
