Get your dose of Yum Cha goodness delivered to your door thanks to the crew from Sydney food-truck Tsuru.
It’s a ritual many of us have grown familiar with. Tucking into endless plates of delicious dumplings, pancakes and sides at Yum Cha is one of our favourite ways to dine on the weekend. But in recent weeks, dining out at our beloved Yum Cha spots (or any restaurant in fact) hasn’t been an option. So, this famous Sydney food-truck is bringing the feast to your home.
If you’ve ever nabbed a bite to eat at Mardi Gras and Sydney Festival, you’d probably have spotted Tsuru’s iconic food truck. In light of COVID-19, the team has shifted to DIY bao boxes which can be delivered to your door (within the Sydney Metro area).
As part of the Tsuru At Home range, punters can now score epic boxes of almost ready-to-eat bao buns. There’s the classic chicken teriyaki, tofu teriyaki and shiitake, hot and sicy pork belly and even black pepper beef bao kits (all priced at $50 a pop). Each makes 10 mini bao buns, with a bunch of filling leftover for you to use for stir-fries, rice bowls and salads in the days to come! Plus, you can even order extra frozen bao buns to put your fillings to good use.
Want to stock up for the weeks ahead? Nab their frozen Tsuru Bao Kit $70) with your choice of marinated meats frozen along with tubs of chipotle mayo and Japanese mayo, ready to make 10 mini bao buns whenever you are.
