Weave your way through the CBD’s top bars with a well-made drink in hand at Sip & Stroll walking cocktail tours.
We all have our favourite haunts for a cheeky post-work tipple. Perhaps you’re a fan of The Rock’s fifties-era hotel lobby cocktail bar Maybe Sammy? Or would you rather head downstairs into Baxter’s Inn to graze on pretzels with a nip of whiskey in hand? Whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed with plenty of stellar venues to explore.
But if you’re struggling to venture off your well-trodden path, we’ve found just the thing to help you explore the best of Sydney’s bar scene. Meet Sip & Stroll, the newly launched immersive cocktail tour experience coming to Sydney this October (just in time for the long weekend). Presented by Beam Suntory, these walking tours are designed to give you an insider glimpse into our city’s best hidden gems and noteworthy new established.
Each week throughout October, Sip & Stroll be will be hosting tours on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Each session will kick off at The Rook, where drinkers will meet their host and world-class cocktail expert Cam Pirret before embarking on a 3-hour tour that will leave no cocktail untouched. Throughout the tour, you’ll be taken to four unmissable bars dotted across the CBD, including Papa Gedes, Duke of Clarence and the newly launched 70s-inspired Double Douce Lounge.
Plus, once you’ve worked up an appetite you’ll be treated to a stellar selection of gourmet bar snacks. Sample the likes of handmade duck sausage rolls and popcorn beef served with chilli salt.
The best bit? Tour sizes are capped at 12 people to ensure each group receives a truly intimate tour experience. From deep-dive discussions into gin, bourbon, and scotch to expert cocktail-making tips, you’re guaranteed to walk away with a stack of knowledge to impress your mates at your next cocktail party.
Sip & Stroll cocktail tours will be running every Thursday evening (6:30pm to 9:30pm) and Saturdays (3:30pm to 6:30pm) from October 5th to October 26th. Tickets are $60 +bf and include four premium cocktails and bespoke bar snacks. For more information and to secure your spot, click here.
