Expect a furry wall, plenty of booths and a touch of Ramblin’ raucousness at the new Double Deuce Lounge.
Ramblin Rascal Tavern is best known as the dive bar serving up ‘shit’ tinnies, a strong cognac menu and a no nonsense attitude. After opening its doors back in 2014, owners of Ramblin’ Charlie Lehmann, Sebastian Soto and Dardan Shervashidze now have their eyes on a brand new project. Set to open in late March, Double Deuce Lounge is the new 70s inspired cocktail lounge set to shake up the CBD.
Taking over the old Bouche on Bridge basement, the 80pax space will focus on cocktails and wine, without aligning itself to any one particular spirit on the menu. Whilst retaining the same Ramblin’ Rascal edge, the new site will be upping the class game. Guests can expect table service and a more refined cocktail offering.
Double Deuce will sit in good company at the northern end of the CBD, the recently opened 50s-inspired bar Maybe Sammy a mere five minute walk away. Come May, you will also be able to swing by Mary’s The Basement for a burger and your daily dose of live music.
The finer details at this point are still fairly scant, but we’re told Double Deuce will come with plenty of booths and even a furry wall.
