Raes on Wategos is expanding its footprint in Byron Bay, revealing ten new suites in the year of its 30th anniversary.
The renowned luxury retreat, Raes on Wategos has announced the expansion of its iconic property with the opening of a second Raes location at the end of the year. Situated just a short walk away from the O.G. Raes, the new property will feature ten gorgeous suites, allowing even more guests to experience the brand’s world-class hospitality.
As Raes celebrates its 30th anniversary, the expansion marks a significant milestone. The new property boasts a range of special amenities, including two exquisite lap pools, expansive indoor common areas (including open log fireplaces), and beautifully landscaped gardens. Guests will continue to enjoy the exceptional service and luxurious touches synonymous with Raes, as well as access to the renowned Raes Dining Room, Cellar Bar, and Raes Spa during their stay.
Interior design expert Tamsin Johnson will once again lend her expertise to the secondary location, creating a space that perfectly complements the original Raes while incorporating some fresh Mediterranean-inspired touches. The result will be an effortlessly chic and inviting venue that accentuates the beauty of Raes’ coastal surroundings.

Bookings for the new property will open in October 2024, with further details to be released in the coming months.
