Crunch Into One Of Sydney’s First Vegan Croissants At This New Plant-Based Cafe In Glebe

Cafes, Eat, Sydney / 13 March 2020

Experience boundary-pushing plant-based eats (including one of Sydney’s first vegan croissants) at the new Glebe cafe, Oh My Days.

It’s hard to imagine creating baked goods without copious amounts of butter, milk and eggs. But in good news for vegan Sydneysiders (and for anyone looking to reduce their dairy intake), the crew from Glebe’s newest cafe Oh My Days have done just that. In fact, they’re one of the only Sydney bakeries leading the way in plant-based baked goods (and we’re here for it).

This newly opened venue delivers part vegan bakery and part vegan cafe to the heart of Glebe Point Road. Headed up by ex-fine dining Owner and Head Chef David RIgby (Bentley, Est. China Doll, Tonka, Paramount Recreation Club), Oh My Days is another welcome addition to Sydney’s growing selection of vegan cafes, eateries and restaurants. It’s a shift that we’re excited to see, with more diners opting for meat-free and plant-based options when eating out across the city.

At Oh My Days you’ll find a 100% plant-based menu, with a selection of dishes using organic and fresh ingredients that are preservative and additive-free. In a commitment to deliver diners a health-focused offering championing natural ingredients, the team have designed a menu of bakery treats and South-American inspired bites. But don’t worry, there’s much more than just lentils and salads at this cafe!

Oh My Days’ curated menu delivers a selection of re-imagined brunch favourites, including breakfast burritos, tacos, quesadillas and more, each packed with fresh veggies and ingredients. Dig into their brekkie bowl (packed with a wholesome mix of sweet potato, black beans, guacamole, scrambled tofu, grilled corn, roast peppers, butternut squash crema and jalapeno salsa) or opt for something sweet such as their Blue Corn and Blueberry Pancakes with cashew coconut ice-cream, organic maple syrup and fresh berries.

And when it comes to vegan baked goods, these guys have you covered. Baked fresh daily on-site by Yosef Paulsen (ex-Kitchen by Mike, Art of Baking), expect everything from vegan chocolate, plain and almond croissants to berry danishes, tarts and banana bread. To compliment your sweet treat, nab a chocolate and banana mylkshake or order a delicious coffee from Head Barista John Lee (using house-roasted beans paired with a range of nut mylks). For something a little stronger, you’ll also find a selection of low-intervention natural and organic wines, beers and cocktails on the drinks menu.

Find Oh My Days at 99 Glebe Point Road, Glebe. Open daily from 8am to 4pm. Find out more here.
