Sydney’s Leading Bar Has Dropped A Brand New Cocktail Menu Titled ‘Stardust’

Drink, Sydney / 6 April 2022

Sparks are flying over Maybe Sammy’s new cocktail menu featuring 12 signature sips inspired by female leaders in the creative and arts space.

After 6 months of crafting, Maybe Sammy co-owner Martin Hudak and Bar Manager Paolo Maffietti are ready to give you a taste of their brand new cocktail menu, launching on Wednesday 6th of April. Titled ‘Stardust’, we know there’s a certain whimsical energy that shines through the 12 new cocktails. Inspired by the artistic doyennes from the fields of music, art, cinema and fashion, expect huge feminine energy with every sip.

Maybe Sammy has always set the bar high for drinking experiences in Sydney. They’ve even made it on a global scale having scored the 22nd spot in The World’s 50 Best Bars guide for 2021. “Our role as bartenders is not just to pour you a drink, it’s to fully immerse you into our world so you have a lingering memory that blows you away. We want to push the boundaries of what people expect from a cocktail bar and provide
an extra layer of interactivity for our guests,” said Hudak.

Each new cocktail will be brought to life by Clementine Roslund (more commonly known as KlemeKleme). Discover the personality behind each cocktail through her bespoke artworks and for a truly memorable experience, scan the corresponding QR code for a custom social media filter. “I did a lot of research to understand each woman as I wanted to weave in their personality. For example, the artwork inspired by Elizabeth Taylor includes eight pieces of jewellery to represent her eight marriages and the fruit reflects the citrus tones of the cocktail,” said Roslund.

Our top picks from the new menu:

The Dancing Queen is inspired by the one and only glamourzon, Cher. The cocktail is served in a disco ball to represent her sparkly 70s era and playful, sexy nature. With a good hit of Don Julio Tequila Blanco, Mr Black Coffee Liqueur, Linie Aquavit, passionfruit and lime, this is a fresh twist on the classic margarita.

The National Velvet was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor and her love for breakfast mimosas and diamonds. In a cocktail first, your drink will come in a quaint teacup with a diamond-shaped ice cube. Combining Ketel One Vodka, Black Market yuzu sake, Saint Felix Bitter Citrus Aperitivo, blood orange and Frankincense syrup, you get the mimosa influence.
It’s Only A Paper Moon was inspired by Ella Fitzgerald and comes with a side of theatre. Keep your eyes peeled for its arrival as the garnish goes up in flames giving your cocktail a smokey touch. This blend features Patrón Silver Tequila, Empirical Spirits Charlene McGee, smoked paprika, aloe vera and lime.

Maybe Sammy is open Wednesday – Saturday from 4:30pm. Find out more here.
