The new owners, the Artemus Group, are familiar with revitalising waterfront areas, having transformed Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves into a thriving precinct. Here at Manly, they’re taking a thoughtful approach, listening to the local community while implementing some exciting changes.

One of the first improvements is a brand new menu, overseen by culinary consultant Corey Costelloe, formerly of Rockpool Bar and Grill. Costelloe’s philosophy is all about showcasing the best Australian produce with simple, delicious cooking.

Think classic pub fare with a modern twist with juicy burgers and succulent grilled meats alongside fresh seafood dishes that highlight the bounty of the nearby ocean. Manly Wharf Bar’s new menu also embraces a touch of the Mediterranean, offering a selection of smaller plates perfect for sharing alongside a drink with friends.

Highlights include Clarence River baby octopus with a zingy lemon, chilli and oregano dressing, and a whole butterflied whiting sourced directly from Coffs Harbour. For those with a bigger appetite, the 600g dry-aged ribeye promises a carnivorous delight.

The drinks list reflects the same philosophy – simple but satisfying. Expect refreshing cocktails, a focus on Australian wines, and a selection of craft beers, including Brisbane’s Felons brews alongside local favourites.
