Get ready to sip your way through all the G&Ts at the inaugural Junipalooza Sydney.
Gin’s moment in the spotlight doesn’t seem to be coming to an end any time soon. In fact, the number of festivals dedicated to this botanical-focused spirit is only growing in number. From the annual Sydney Gin Palooza to Fever Tree’s Gin and Tonic Festival, there are plenty of places to nab a well-made G&T. And we’re certainly not complaining.
The latest addition to this growing cohort of gin festivals is London’s famed Junipalooza. While we were anticipating its arrival last year, the festival’s inaugural Sydney event was postponed due to the pandemic. But now, Junipalooza is going ahead for a jam-packed weekend of gin-fueled fun.
From August 28th to August 29th, Junipalooza will land at Carriageworks for two days only. It’s set to bring everything you would want from a gin festival, including sampling stations, cocktails, gin masterclasses and so much more.
Created by the team from Gin Foundry, a hub for gin lovers wanting to learn more about this spirit, the festival hopes to be a place for gin lovers to connect, learn and meet makers and drinkers from around the world. With annual events in London, Germany and Australia, each show aims to be the best gin event in the world by showcasing the diverse range of spirits crafted by distillers in a fun and accessible way.
What sets Junipalooza apart from other similar festival is its emphasis on connecting drinkers with distillers. To take part in the event, distilleries need to send along their owner or founder to ensure attendees get to meet the makers behind their favourite gin bottles.
Expect over 30 distillers from around the globe to be pouring their gins, with over 200 types of gin varietal slated to be on offer. While we’re yet to receive details of the full program, Junipalooza is set to be an unmissable event for gin lovers.
Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Junipalooza Sydney event this August. Find out more and book your spot here.
