Hunter Gatherer Opens in North Sydney
The workers of North Sydney have been on the hunt for a new place to hang, and after gathering much anticipation, their prayers have finally been answered! New bar and eatery Hunter Gatherer has finally opened on the rooftop of Greenwood Plaza. The project mark’s Anthony Kaplan first venture “over the bridge”, after the success of his trendy Bondi establishments, Corner House and Panama House.
The menu is curated by Michelin star trained head chef Paul Micklewright, and will be on constant rotation serving fresh local produce and sustainable ingredients.
Sorting the menu into two sections, ‘Hunted’ and ‘Gathered’, it will include seasonal dishes such as spiced eggplant, haloumi and tomato salad with parsley and chickpeas; Bannockburn free range chicken, braised with Sicilian olives, lemon, confit garlic, thyme and verjus; Farmer’s market steak platter with all the trimmings; and Roast Bone Marrow served with onion jam and toasted baguette.
The bar will be offering a variety of beers, spirits and cocktails with particular attention on biodynamic and organic wines. If you are looking for a drink with your lunch and dinner, make sure to only come Wednesday to Friday, as this is when it’s licensed.
The interior is a mixture of contemporary Danish design with rustic farmhouse finishes. An abundance of lush greenery fills the venue and spills out onto the large terrace. The large feature wall is a focal point of the Italian-designed restaurant with a psychedelic twist.
The venue will be open Monday to Friday but will also be available for weekend functions and events.
Being the latest restaurant to grace North Sydney, it’s perfectly suited for a quick lunch or late dinner after work. You can also now enjoy a seasonal breakfast from 8:30am, available every weekday morning. They have deliciously warm Autumn options like their smoked ham and pea breakfast bowl with quinoa, kale, fried egg and house hot sauce and so much more.
