The Good Food & Wine Show returns in 2022 to celebrate its 21st birthday, and boy are we ready to celebrate!
The promise of over 600 wines and 60 types of cheese is more than enough to get our mouths watering. Add to that an exciting new line up of celebrity chefs, masterclasses and live cooking demos and we’re finally realising our foodie dreams.
You’ll be able to enjoy front row seats to cooking demonstrations from some of Australia’s favourite chefs. Including Miguel Maestre who will be wowing fans from a brand new cooking stage; The Kitchen by Harris Scarfe.
Here you can take a seat at ‘The Chef’s Table’ – an intimate dining experience giving visitors a closer look at each demo, before sitting back to enjoy each of the dishes prepared. The Chef’s Table by Harris Scarfe is located just a few steps from the stage with space for just six people so be sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Other top chefs demonstrating in the Kitchen by Harris Scarfe include Matt Moran, Justine Schofield, Brendan Pang and Sammy Jakubiak, inspiring show-goers with their entertaining, everyday recipes to try at home.
First Look; Spirit Fleet
2022 will debut the never-seen-before Spirit Fleet, where festival-goers can step on board the Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer vintage double decker bus for a whisky tasting. If botanicals are more your vibe, sip and sample gin at the Hendricks Cucumber Airstream, or if Scotch is your tipple, make a beeline for the Monkey Shoulder Shaker (a full-size cement mixer cocktail shaker!).
As well as wine tastings galore in The RIEDEL Drinks Lab, the Wine Selectors Tasting Room will have four separate spaces for intimate wine tasting experiences paired with world-class food. Serious wine drinkers can enjoy all this and more, with the new Wine Lovers ticket. The ticket includes access to new releases and back-vintages, a premium tasting glass, complimentary bottle of Shaw Estate, a wine guide and much much more.
While you’re there, sample all the cheese at Cheese Lane, enjoy a morning tea in The English Garden and spend all your money at the good food village all in a days work. With more than 250 of Australia’s latest and greatest producers at the show, this year’s GFWS Sydney will not disappoint.
Whether you are a born and bred foodie or are simply looking for some fresh home-cooking inspiration, mark your calendars and get your tastebuds ready for a great day out.
