El Camino Cantina is opening the doors of its 6th venue in Entertainment Quarter, just in time for the long weekend.

After a big week at the office, we’re all looking for ways to kick back and unwind. And for most of us, grabbing a drink with our crew is how we do it. And in big news just announced this week, Sydneysiders are set to be treated to another stellar watering hole.

The team behind the uber-successful El Camino Catina brand are opening the doors in the Eastern Suburbs this Friday (October 4th) at 11 am. And this latest outpost is set to bring their legendary Tex-Mex experience to Entertainment Quarter. Nestled on the precinct’s Upper Bent Street (poised opposite Fratelli Fresh), the venue’s neon signage and festively lit 130-seat alfresco area command attention from the moment you spot the entrance.

In fitting with El Camino Cantina’s Tex-Mex aesthetic, this outpost is set to be a destination for colourful Calaveras, bottomless corn chips and trademark cool tunes. This 220-seat cantina’s fit-out is designed to spark celebration, with bright custom artwork, private booths and the venue’s signature colourful high-topped tables dotted throughout the space.

As for the menu, punters won’t be disappointed with this offering. They’ll be dishing up all their signature dishes, including a selection of soft-shell tacos stuffed with your choice of seven flavour combinations (including mushroom with chipotle coleslaw and beer-battered barramundi doused with green mango salsa and jalapeno aioli). They’ll also be nachos served with chilli con carne (vegetarian toppings also available) plus sizzling fajitas stuffed with everything from spiced adobo chicken to hickory-smoked BBQ brisket. And burrito lovers, dig into their trio of big-hitting burritos stuffed with chipotle chicken, brisket or black bean and vegetables.

To wash it all down, El Camino Cantina’s classic frozen margaritas proves for the perfect match for this flavour fiesta. They’ll also be pouring a selection of local craft beers and flagship Mexican draught and bottled cervezas, alongside over 100 tequilas and mezcals adorning their bar shelves.

Who doesn’t love a bargain? Swing by El Camino Cantina for daily specials including happy hour every week-day from 4 pm – 6 pm, $2 Taco Tuesdays, 10-cent buffalo wings on Wednesdays and half-priced fajitas on Thursdays.
