Botanic House opens inside the stunning Botanic Gardens

Celebrity chef Luke Nguyen is spicing up the Botanic Gardens with new multi-level restaurant, Botanic House.

There aren’t many spots in Sydney quite as picturesque as the Botanic Gardens, and now you can cap off a decadent day of frolicking with a meal to remember at Botanic House. Hidden amongst the stunning foliage of the Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden, the newly renovated and renovated Botanic House is the brainchild of Ambassador Chef Luke Nguyen.

Bringing over twenty years’ experience to his role as ambassador chef of Botanic House, Luke’s passion for fresh and vibrant Asian flavours carries through on his menu. Born in Thailand and raised in Australia by Vietnamese parents and Chinese grandparents, the menu plays into Luke’s colourful heritage – marrying South East Asian flavours with native Australian ingredients.

The weekend brunch menu swings elegantly from east to west; a dedicated dumpling menu sitting alongside eggs ‘your way’ with sourdough and Pepe Saya butter. Those looking to make their weekend brunch a boozy affair can dabble in two hours of free-flowing bubbles or mimosas.

The lunch menu at Botanic House is equally impressive in both size and flare, with dishes spanning fresh rice paper rolls, crispy spring rolls, roll-your-own san choi bao and more substantial plates like Vietnamese red curry and wok tossed 100 day grain-fed black angus beef.

The wine list shines the spotlight on some of our nation’s top wine regions, including the Hunter Valley, Tumbarumba, Eden Valley, Adelaide Hills and Margaret River. Feeding into our current obsession with ‘low intervention’ and organic vinos, you’ll also find a tight selection of organic and biodynamic wines to appease both the health conscious and health curious.

Cocktails cover the classics with the summer-ready Aperol Spritz and Pimms, while the Negroni, Espresso Martini, Whiskey Sour and Breakfast Martini are also being made to order.

For those looking for a more casual dining affair, downstairs from Botanic House is Farm Cove Eatery, the equally new, relaxed dining space that offers a range of grab and go and à la carte options.

Botanic House is open Monday – Friday: 11:30am – 4pm and Saturday – Sunday: 9:30am – 4pm.
