During Vivid 2018, ignite your senses like never before at these special Enlightenment Feasts.
Vivid is almost here, and as the city prepares for its breathtaking illumination, The Calyx at The Royal Botanic Gardens gets set to stimulate the senses and open the mind. As a special first during the Vivid Festival, The Garden is preparing a series of immersive Enlightenment Feasts.
Kicking off in the striking Calyx building, patrons will be treated to two immersive dining experiences exploring the intriguing themes of enlightenment through sound, taste, ideas and performance.
The first immersive drinks and canapés event commencing this Saturday 26th May. Prepare to leave all preconceived ideas at the door, with a story-led arrival cocktail created from the new range of Belvedere single state rye vodkas, thematic curated canapes, flowing drinks, evocative performers and 5 mind altering speakers.
As you sip on your delicious tipple, Neural and Systems Complexity Specialist Fiona Kerr will guide you through the wonders and possibility of the human brain. Accompanying Kerr will also be Entomologist and Collaborative Memory and Intelligence Specialist Tanya Latty, Collective Mind Expert Derek Leddie and Philosopher and Science Writer Tim Dean.
Following this event on Saturday 2nd June is a special immersive dinner experience. Designed to feed your eyes, mind and soul, guests will enjoy a three-course share style meal with matched wines. Special guest speakers on the night will include Dan Goods, the visual strategist for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and founder of the Museum of Awe. If that doesn’t provide ample #mindblown opportunities, perhaps talks from Fiona Kerr, Neural and Systems Complexity Specialist, collective Mind Expert Derek Leddie and Philosopher Matt Beard will.
