Eat, Sydney / 27 May 2020

Load up on takeaway eats from the best local food trucks, all without leaving your car.

If there’s one thing we miss most about breweries and music festivals, it’s the food truck. You know what we’re talking about. The sweet scent of BBQ meats, fried chicken and scorched cobs of corn flooding car parks, fairgrounds and event sites. As foodies, we’re always the first ones lining up to snag the best snacks.

But while festivals remain paused for a little while longer, this new drive-thru concept is bringing back the food truck experience. Say hello to the Food Truck Express, a brand new drive-thru food truck event presented by The Hill’s Bella Vista Hotel.

This bistro has rounded up some of the top local food trucks from across Sydney to host an epic food truck festival in Bella Vista. The concept is simple: diners drive to the parking site next to the Bella Vista Hotel (17 Lexington Drive Bella Vista), on-hand staff will come to your car to take your order and pay via contactless payment and bring your meal to you for complete contactless service!

And when it comes to dining options, you’ll have plenty to choose from! The food truck vendors include the likes of Fire and Brimstone BBQ, Burger Head, Greek Street Food Truck, Original ChocoWrap Dessert Truck, Emmy’s Gourmet Gozleme, Pampa Flame, Pizza-ology, Pasticceria Caruso and Bella Shake & Serve Cocktails and Long Neck Beers. Talk about a stellar selection of takeaway eats!

The Food Truck Express will be happening from Thursday to Saturday evenings from 5pm to 9pm, with the entire event cashless. The festival is a drive-thru pickup and takeaway service only, with menus brought to your car and on-site eating prohibited. To find out more, click here.
