Panattone Simon Johnson
One of my favourite things about Christmas time is getting stuck into Simon Johnson’s panettone. I remember one year my flatmate’s mum bought us one and we tried to savour it as long as we could. Each day we’d have little nibbles like mice until one day it was all gone 🙁 It’s a little expensive for a big Italian sweet bread but it uses high quality ingredients like dried fruits and spices and a mother yeast which has been renewed every day for over 70 years! It also comes in a really beautiful box so it makes for a nice present. I got given this one for my bday…i’m trying to savour like a mouse again. Panettone is $59 here http://www.simonjohnson.com/
