Sail into autumn with grape stomping, wine quaffing and cheese scoffing at the Wine & Cheese Fest.

The Wine & Cheese Fest returns to Williamstown this year as part of the 2019 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival program promising a feast for the senses that showcases everyone’s favourite duo – cheese and wine – alongside live music and DJs against the backdrop of stunning city and seascape views.

Held at the recently renovated Seaworks you can discover over 50 fine quality wine, cheese, and artisan food producers and vendors. From wheels of fine cheeses and savoury sauces, pickled preserves and home-style pastries, to smoked and cured meats, luscious desserts and a wide variety of craft beers, ciders and refreshments, the Wine & Cheese Fest has something tasty to tempt everyone’s taste buds.

Dip your toe into the wine making process – or both feet – in the always popular Grape Stomp Comp which returns to lay down the gauntlet for punters to produce as much juice as possible the old world way…and look good doing it!

Up your wine quaffing game with a wine masterclasses with top local vintners including ”Prosecco” with Dal Zotto Wines,“Sparkling & Cabernet Sauvignon” with Blue Pyrenees. And “Taste 100 years of Wines” with Mount Avoca winemaker, Matthew Barry  in the VIP marquee.

For the cheese lovers amongst you (wait, that’s ALL of you, right?) get some insider tips of the trade from French cheesemaker Matthieu Megard from L’Artisan Cheese Organic and Gowen Irlen from Melbourne and Cheese. And don’t miss the “Maestro of Mozzarella” George Linguanti of That’s Amore Cheese performing a live demonstration of “Mozzarella Making”, which is set to be a mouth-watering experience!

Take a wander around the the Wine & Cheese Fest where you’ll be able to browse arts and craft stalls, sample gourmet produce and enjoy hot food. Plus, if you’re bringing the kids, there will be plenty to keep them entertained in the dedicated Kids Zone.

If you’re in it for the long haul, there’s an After Party on at Pirates Tavern from 6pm where you can enjoy the revelry against the setting sun over the water.
