Foodies and beer lovers rejoice Good Beer Week is back.

Good Beer Week is back for its tenth year promising to deliver good food, great beer and fun times for Melbournians this month. Taking place over ten days from 14-24th May the 2021 program is packed with over 200 events around Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Presented by the Independent Brewers Association (IBA), Good Beer Week is the biggest beer week in the Southern Hemisphere.

Highlights include:

Saturday 15th May

Good Beer Kitchen 

Kick-off Good Beer Week with a long lunch at Arbory Bar & Kitchen. Hosted by Triple R’s Cam Smith, enjoy some of the country’s finest beers with dishes to compliment by chef Nick Bennett and a round-up of his chef mates. Tickets are $80.

Native Inspired Four Course Lunch with UpFlow Non-Alcoholic Beer

Low and non-alcoholic beers are becoming increasingly popular. The team at UpFlow beer has put out a range of delicious core beers, plus limited releases all with zero alcohol. Hosted at Henry Sugar in Carlton enjoy a native ingredient-inspired four-course lunch paired with UpFlow beers. Tickets are $80.

Sunday 16th May

Vegan Good Times

The Corner Hotel has teamed up with fellow Richmond locals Mountain Goat to present Vegan Good Food Times! A family-friendly afternoon filled with games, local DJs and an opportunity to meet the brewers in person. Tickets include a selection of canapes and paired beer tastings. Tickets are $43.

Crab-A-Palooza 2021

Bib up and get cracking at Miss Katie’s Crab Shack in Fitzroy for a day of cold beers and crab. Enjoy four courses of crab matched with beers, including a limited-release, from Two Birds Brewing. Showcasing the best Australian seafood cooked in the Southern-style derived from Katie’s family recipes in our nautically themed crab shack. Tickets are $85.

Monday 17th May

Graham Hotel Brewer’s Dinner

Newly renovated Graham Hotel has invited Stone & Wood for a Brewer’s Dinner on Monday 17th May. There’ll be three-courses paired with five beers, including the sought-after Counter Culture range, and Stone & Wood’s legendary Pacific Ale. Enjoy it all in a cosy space with a view of the open kitchen.

Tuesday 18th May

Chin Chin x Moondog

Two of Melbourne’s most iconic venues, Moondog and Chin Chin are collaborating together for one night only offering guests an evening of great food and beer. Enjoy a five-course meal from Chin Chin paired with Moon Dog limited releases, tropical themed cocktails and signature Moon Dog brews. Tickets are $145.

Thursday May 20th

Crafty Cockt’ale Masterclass 2.0

Fancy trying your hand at something craftier? Join the team at The National Hotel for Crafty Cockt’ale Masterclass 2.0. Learn to create three beer-based cocktails with the pub’s best and brightest bev masters. The kitchen will be preparing a range of canapes to accompany your creations. Tickets are $69.

This year’s festival also has the addition of an “Active Beer” category led by Bridge Road Brewers. Activities include The Great Dodgeball SlamThe Tubular Trinity,  Brunswick Bike + Beer Bash, and more.
