Want to win 100 chicken schnitzels? Here’s where to head to go into the draw for this legendary prize.
The schnity. It’s the classic feed found at great pubs Australia-wide. From your local bowlo serving up cheap-and-cheerful schnity plates for just $10 to the upscale schnitzel incarnations coming to revamped bistros and kitchens, it’s the crowd-pleasing dish no pub menu is complete without. And this summer, one restaurant group is serving up a schnity-lovers dream deal for punters across the country.
In honour of the festive season, Rockpool’s The Bavarian and Munich Brauhaus are hosting a massive schnity giveaway not to be missed. So, what’s up for grabs? Each of the group’s 34 Bavarian-inspired venues will be giving away 100 chicken schnitzels. To win, simply spend $20 or more at one of the participating restaurants between November 11th and December 30th 2019 to go into the draw. Each venue will be giving one lucky winner 100schnitzels to be devoured throughout 2020. Talk about the ultimate free feed.
These restaurants are well acquainted with serving up oh-so-delicious schnities. In fact, these Bavarian restaurants have earned a name for themselves for their famous loaded schnitzels. This summer, both restaurants have launched brand new loaded variations to celebrate the festive season. Their Christmas Loaded Schnitzel features the iconic crumbed chicken breast topped with sautéed new potatoes, kale, cranberries, bacon, scallions, stuffing crumb and roast dripping cranberry jus. Plus the Summer Loaded Schnitzel is topped with wurstsalat, chargrilled cos lettuce and fresh herbs.
Fancy something a little lighter? These Bavarian restaurants have just revealed their new summer menus focused on lighter bites with a new starter menu featuring potted smoked salmon with dill, crème fraiche, creamed horseradish and lavosh, alongside cold cut meat and cheese platter. You’ll also find a selection of seasonal salads making a return to the menu, including wurstsalat (a salad made from julienned Fleischwurst, pickled cucumber, Swiss cheese dressed in mustard vinaigrette), cucumber salat (a refreshing summer salad with cucumber, yoghurt and fresh dill) and potato salad with light vinegar dressing.
