Albo Approved: The Inner West Ale Trail Is Here With 2-For-1 Beers!

Bars, Drink, Play, Sydney / 8 October 2024

The Inner West Ale Trail has officially launched, uniting 18 independent microbreweries from six different Sydney suburbs.

The Inner West is buzzing with a brand-new ale trail, fueled by hops and community spirit. This collaborative venture brings together producers from Marrickville, Enmore, Newtown, St Peters, Rozelle, and Camperdown, offering over 320 unique brews for you to choose from. Inner-West local and our very own Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, was present to oversee the trail’s opening, declaring that “fun is back in Sydney” since its launch, and giving us the official tick of approval.

The Inner West Ale Trail includes:

  • Batch Brewing
  • Brickworks Brewing
  • Chuck & Sons Brewing Co.
  • Future Brewing
  • Hawke’s Brewing
  • Hopsters Co-op Brewery
  • Kicks Brewing
  • Mixtape Brewing & Bar
  • Philter Brewing
  • Pickled Monkey Brewing Co
  • Sauce Brewing Co.
  • The Grifter Brewing Co.
  • Wayward Brewing
  • White Bay Brewery
  • Wildflower Brewing & Blending
  • Willie the Boatman
  • Young Henrys
  • Bracket Brewing (launching October/November)

Over 15 restaurants and food trucks offering diverse cuisines operate alongside the breweries, complemented by a selection of over 100 wines, spirits, and ciders available along the way. Non-beer drinkers needn’t feel left out, as most stops feature freshly brewed seltzers, innovative cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. Each brewery brings something unique to the table, with some boasting rooftop bars, sports viewing, or underground venues rich in history. Patrons can enjoy warm hospitality, relax in family-friendly spaces, or bring their furry friends along for a dog-friendly afternoon.

The Inner West Ale Trail isn’t just about beer; it’s packed with events! From live music and comedy nights to themed happenings like Queers & Beers and 80s music bingo, there’s always something exciting to attend. The trail seamlessly integrates into the vibrant cultural fabric of the Inner West, allowing street art fans to admire impressive murals while brewery-hopping. This initiative also acknowledges the challenges faced by independent breweries, aiming to bolster local businesses, create jobs, and foster community spirit. Grant programs from the NSW Government provide crucial support, highlighting the importance of backing local enterprises.

To celebrate this exciting development, the Inner West Ale Trail has launched a website featuring special offers, including two-for-one deals across participating breweries (a total discount of $200!). However, you must register to take advantage of these deals.

The launch of the Inner West Ale Trail brings a renewed sense of optimism to the region, boosting both the economy and community spirit. Find out more about this new opening here.
