This Halloween, head to The Rocks for three days and three nights of horror encounters, eerie eats, and thrilling entertainment at Ghost In The Rocks.

This Halloween, the Ghost in The Rocks festival brings all the eerie vibes to life, transforming The Rocks into a haunted ghost town. Four days of free, family-friendly fun activities will be held, along with four thrilling ticketed experiences.

Sign up for a spine-chilling night at the Ghost Cinema Experience from the 31st of October to the 3rd of November. As night falls, the George Street alfresco terraces transform into an open-air cinema. This isn’t your typical movie night, it’s a plunge into the paranormal at The Rock’s oldest and most mysterious sites. The ancient sandstone walls and pathways of George Street have long been the subject of chilling tales about lost sailors whose spirits are said to haunt these shadowy streets.

Prepare to have the hairs standing on the back of your neck while you sit beneath the stars and watch classic haunted films like The Nun, The Conjuring, The Blair Witch Project and more. The chilling whispers and cold winds of George Street amplify each film’s terror, making every flicker of the screen and rustle of the breeze leave you wondering: Is that just the wind, or is a ghostly sailor lurking in the shadows?

The Ghost Cinema promises a full day of cinematic thrills that intensify as the evening progresses. Daytime screenings offer family-friendly frights with playful films suitable for all ages. You can cosy up and enjoy fan favourites like Hocus Pocus and Coco. As dusk falls, the atmosphere shifts. By midnight, prepare for a gripping experience as the most horrifying films push you to the edge of your seat. To enhance the spine-chilling experience, a tempting menu of movie snacks will be available. Enjoy classic treats like popcorn, chicken popcorn, M&M’s, and chips, soft drinks or a warming cup of mulled cider.

Screenings run from October 31st to November 3rd. Ticket prices start at $20 for children and $34 for adults.

Amidst the cobblestones lies a hidden bar on 33 Playfair Street. You can sip on dangerously delicious cocktails and unravel a murder mystery.  You can choose from three stories to uncover while you sip on cocktails for 2 hours and unveil your inner Sherlock Holmes. Tickets are $120pp with two time slots to choose from on the 31st of October and the 2nd of November. Discover more here.

For the partygoers, head to the House of Horror Party at the notorious Bond store. Said to be haunted by restless spirits since 1841, this eerie site is rich with tales of ghostly shadows, unexplained occurrences, and an unsettling atmosphere. For one night only, this haunted location will transform into a terrifying party venue, filled with DJs, dancers. Book your tickets for $89pp available on the 31st of October and the 1st & 2nd of November.

It wouldn’t be Halloween without dressing up! Experience the New Orleans-inspired carnival on Saturday, November 2nd where the streets will become a theatrical parade. Dress to impress, parade and dance or come and watch, there are options for everyone. If you dare, find out more information about the haunted wonderland here.
