For the past seven months Paddington’s much loved Bellevue Hotel has been undergoing 2 million dollars worth of renovations and on Tuesday the 21st of July it finally reopened to the public under its new name, simply, Bellevue.
This heritage pub, that first opened its doors in 1880, will unveil a completely transformed ground-level bar and dining space and on Friday the 24th of July its redesigned terrace. The bar area flows seamlessly into the dining area which now seats up to 70 patrons. A new oyster and caviar bar adds a little glamour to this already polished space.
Chef James Metcalfe has created a small European style menu that won’t break the bank and focuses on creating a restaurant that the regulars will enjoy. Unfortunately their famous crumbed lamb chops didn’t make the cut but their new menu provides exciting and delicious substitutes.
