WIN An Intimate Masterclass At Taste of Sydney

Competitions, Eat, Sydney / 2 March 2016

Centennial Park is set to turn into a foodie paradise as Taste of Sydney in partnership with Electrolux returns for another sensational year. Held over four days from Thursday 10th -14th March, there’ll be lots to see, do, learn and of course taste, at the annual festival.
The best thing about Taste of Sydney is the involvement of Sydney’s top chefs, as they share their signature dishes with every Sydneysider who attends. It’s an opportunity to learn all their little secrets to what makes their dishes that next-level extraordinary.
And you can watch how the magic happens, plus give your mates some serious FOMO, with the hottest ticket of the festival, Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets.
Hosted by Italian celebrity chef, Massimo Mele, this intimate masterclass will give you the opportunity to cook alongside a renowned chef and learn how to create their signature dish. Stepping up to the plate will be Peter Gilmore (Quay), Rob Cockerill (Bennelong), Colin Fassnidge (4Fourteen), Nelly Robinson (nel.) Luke Mangan (Mojo), Chris Thorton (Restaurant Mason), Jacob Davey (est.) and more. Watch and learn then get hands on before enjoying a communal meal  with matching wines.
Throughout the festival, there will be over 60 signature dishes to try from Sydney’s best restaurants, plus artisan stalls, live entertainment and so much more. Hot, new restaurant Kensington Street Social will be there, fresh from opening at The Old Clare Hotel last month. They will be preparing signature dishes such as ‘English Breakfast tea and toast,’ a play on the English favourite with wild mushroom tea served in a teapot with relish and bone marrow toast.
Another must-see at the festival is the team from Porteño, the multi-award winning masters of meat.
But there’s more to dining than just the food as shown at Taste of Sydney. Experience those first date butterflies again as you step into Dimmi’s First Date Butterfly House, where you and a partner will be surrounded by the colourful little creatures.
There is an art to butchering and filleting. Learn all about the techniques of Sydney’s acclaimed chefs at Victorinox Chefs Skillery classes, under the tutelage of masters like Brendan Cato from The Farmed Table in Surry Hills and more.
Taste is the perfect recipe for a Sydney foodies day out
