Swing Classes
It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing! Swing has been around for nearly 100 years and rightly so. Swing Dance Sydney host a 6-week swing class for beginners. They teach Lindy Hop- a popular partner swing dance. You don’t need to bring a partner as they rotate partners in class. It costs $15 per session. You won’t be locked in for the whole 6 weeks as you can pay-as-you-go if swing isn’t your thing.

Bollywood
Mango Dance Studio offers different Bollywood courses from beginners courses to hip-hop bollywood classes. Their courses run by term and you need to book in quick as they sell out. All you need to bring are some comfy dancing clothes and maybe some bindis and bangles to brighten your outfit. Beyonce Dance Class
We all want to Be ‘Yonce so why not be one step closer by learning her flawless moves. Head to Goodgod Small Club where you can learn the “Run The World (Girls)” dance with Amrita your experienced dance instructor. It’s for one night only- Wednesday 19th August. Irish Classes
Fancy a good Irish jig? The Gaelic Club offers weekly classes on Mondays. Beginners to intermediate dancers are welcome. The good thing about these classes is that they are very structured so even the most left footed dancers should be able to pick it up.

Latin Dance Classes
Latin Dance Australia offers beginners courses over 7-8 weeks. Students can pick what they want to learn such as salsa, cha cha and bachata. You don’t need to come with a partner, LDA can provide you with a buddy. For prices and timetables, check out their website. Your first class will be free as a “free class pass” to see if you like it or not. To get the free class pass just print off the gift card on their website.

Burlesque Workshops
Learn the sensual art of burlesque at Dance Central in Surry Hills. They host regular workshops and beginners are very welcome. They require you to bring your heels, your sass and your smile. Prices start from $35 plus extra for fan hire, check the website for dates and times of classes.

Pole Dancing
Don’t scroll past this one just yet! Pole Dancing is definitely a killer way to work all of your body at once. Plus, if you bring your friends along you can always have a bit of a laugh at each other as you slip up and down. Studio Verve Dance Fitness does an 8 week beginners class- Polefit for men and women.
