Grabbing a bite to eat after a big surf has never been this gourmet.
Whether you’re just learning to surf, or have been catching waves for years like a pro, URBNSURF Sydney is set to be your next must-visit destination. It’s the first-ever surf park in New South Wales, with the goal of creating a world-class surfing lagoon and lifestyle destination for lovers of the beach. Set to open in Autumn 2023 at Sydney Olympic Park, the URBNSURF team have just set the bar even higher by announcing a seriously delicious partnership with Applejack Hospitality (The Butler, Bopp & Tone, RAFI and Forresters), who will look after their food and beverage offerings across the entire surf precinct.
Set on a space spanning 3.2 hectares, URBNSURF creates perfect ocean-like waves in a safe and controlled environment. You’ll also get the chance to experience different zones and choice of surf conditions, making it perfect for all ages and skill levels. The precinct also houses an event area (that seats up to 2000), surf academy, cabanas, leisure pool, surf-skate park, and playground, making it the perfect destination to unwind and relax.
Applejack Hospitality will be taking care of all your food cravings at URBNSURF, providing a variety of stalls. This includes servicing private cabanas and event lawns with gourmet catering options, an upper-level premium dining experience that also features a rooftop terrace (with views of the park), as well as a waterfront cafe and kiosk-style stall on the ground floor.
There are already further projects in the pipeline, but you can expect to see signature Applejack-style food being served in an entirely different space to complement the cool URBNSURF lifestyle. Whether it be fueling up with breakfast after a morning surf or kicking back with a few drinks whilst your friends catch some waves, it’s going to take ‘surf, eat, and repeat’ to a whole new level.
