The crew from URBNSURF, the creators of Australia’s first surf park, have been attracting crowds at their Melbourne surf park since January 2020. Over the past 12 months, over 100k guests have surfed at this epic surf park, located at 309 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine.
After a roaring summer season, the crew also joined forces with Three Blue Ducks to welcome a new on-site restaurant serving brekkie, lunch, dinner, and drinks daily. And now, the URBNSURF team have their sights on a new destination closer to home.
Get ready for their next project, URBNSURF Sydney. Finding its home at Sydney Olympic Park, the team has secured a second Wavegarden Cove and will collaborate with the Basque-based technology company to create a world-class surfing lagoon at this iconic Sydney site.
It’s set to be the perfect location to surf ocean-like waves in an authentic, safe, and controlled environment. It’s hoped Sydneysiders of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds will be able to hit the waves at URBNSURF Sydney (due to open in the summer of 2022).
Plus, the URBNSURF team is in the process of securing development partners and tech providers to create world-class surf parks in both Queensland and Western Australia.
