Swing by The Mill for restaurant-quality food at pub prices.
The face of the old Mill Hill Hotel in Bondi Junction is barely recognisable today. It’s been the location of a new major residential development and is now the site of the suburb’s newest gastropub, The Mill. Set on Oxford Street, this new venue is set to bring upscale pub dining to Bondi Junction locals for the first time.
The Mill is the brainchild of the hospitality group Universal Hotels, led by father-and-son team Jim and Harris Kospetas. The duo has collaborated with TWT Property Group to create an elegant yet approachable new spot. And they’ve got an impressive resume under their belt, responsible for Sydney venues such as Civic Hotel, V bar Lounge, Hotel Downing, Kinselas, Oxford Hotel, Martin Place’s Greek restaurant 1821 and Universal.
Hoping to deliver a new dining offering to the area, The Mill is set to offer an Australian pub menu that brings together both Asian and Italian flavours. Headed up by chef Vaughan Chapman (ex-Marvan Hotels), expect a range of both pub-grub classics and restaurant-style dishes. Expect classic burgers ($19 each) including The Mill Angus Burger, South West Chicken Burger and the vegan-friendly Beyond Burger, along with a range of pizzas, steaks, schnitzels and more.
Plus, there’s even a range of cocktails on-tap including Espresso Martinis as well as a bunch of signature cocktails, classic mixes, wine, beer and so much more. And in classic pub fashion The Mill is screening sports matches throughout the week, including baseball, American football, cricket and more.
The Mill is open now at 59B Oxford Street, Bondi Junction. The venue is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to midnight and Sundays from 10 am to 10 pm. To find out more and book your spot, click here.
