Get ready for China Diner’s new restaurant, opening soon in the Tramsheds precinct.
Serious Sydney foodies will be well-acquainted with Bondi’s China Diner. The contemporary Asian bar-meets-restaurant has been serving Bondi locals since 2015, the perfect spot for a dose of yum cha. From delicious Dim sum to decadent duck pancakes and endless plates of dumplings, this is one of favourite spots for a relaxed and flavourful dining experience. And now, China Diner is expanding outside of the Eastern Suburbs.
Get ready for China Diner’s latest precinct, coming to the inner west in December 2020. Finding it’s home in the Tramsheds precinct, this latest China Diner outpost will deliver everything you know and love about the original Bondi Beach restaurant.
China Diner’s co-owner Kingsley Smith has told Good Food that, “we’ve taken the brewery site opposite Bodega 1904.” The new satellite restaurant is set to bring a new kind of dining experience to the Tramsheds precinct, rubbing shoulders with established restaurants such as Flour Eggs Water, Belles Hot Chicken, Garcon, Messina, Osaka Trading Co, and more.
So, what can you expect from this latest outpost of China Diner? Their Tramsheds restaurant will boast a 150-seat dining room, complete with a few alfresco dining tables. The restaurant is slated to open in December, with all the China Diner classic dishes expected to be on the menu. Along with dine-in options, punters will also be able to score takeaway eats (perfect for an impromptu picnic in the neighbouring Blackwattle Bay foreshore walk).
