Whilst many Sydney-siders are up in arms about Sydney’s new lock-in laws ruining their social lives, those clever folks from The Grounds of Alexandria have created one lock-in we can all rejoice in. Hidden within the Potting Shed Bar & Eatery at the Grounds of Alexandria is where you’ll find The Lock-In, a mysterious private liquor den. Behind a large door the dimly lit “secret” room can be hired for functions and events and is the perfect hide out.
The refined space comes with its own bar and staff offering a trove of small-batch spirits. There are three food offerings to choose from including the ‘The Potting Mix’ where diners take their time and indulge in their choice of The Potting Shed menu including jumbo prawns, chargrilled lamb cutlets, pulled pork or holmbrae chicken and more. As a second option, ‘A Fine Feast’, sees the wait staff prepare a feasting table for all to share including an enviable selection of meats, salads and more. Thirdly, the ‘Master & Chef ’ offering takes things to a whole new level with guests enjoying their own private chef serving them a range of delights including locally sourced seafood.
A key is needed to enter The Lock-In and is available from Monday to Sunday with a maximum capacity 20 people seated or 40 people cocktail-style.
