The Gopher Manly, early 1900s Ireland beneath the Corso
The Gopher Manly is an Irish-themed basement bar beneath the Corso that transports you to early 1900s New York the moment you hit the stairs. Think worn textures, century-old reclaimed lighting, live music most nights and cocktails that earn their keep.
The atmosphere is immersive, featuring worn textures, aged finishes, reclaimed century-old lighting and vintage fixtures sourced internationally. Live music fills the space most evenings from early until late.
Named after the Gopher Gang, an Irish-American street crew from Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen, the venue weaves this narrative throughout its design. Designer and co-owner Matt Clifton, a Manly local with hospitality experience spanning LA, New York and Sydney, created the space to shift your mood the second you step inside.
