With a range of new bars and restaurants popping up in Balmain, it’s time to head out of the CBD and check out the new bar scene. Whether you are interested in a long lunch, trying new cocktails or nibbling on a few share platter, Balmain has got your weekend covered.
Taking inspiration from local farmers, local brewers and organic produce, every cocktail and dish is carefully curated for great results. Wilhelminas is great for a Sunday brunch with a few friends, where you start with an organic fresh juice 0r a Bloody Mary. Then promptly order the ham hock braised beans, fried egg, rocket and toast. In the evening, try a ‘Fresh’ cocktail of Tanqueray Gin, Aperol, passionfruit, lemon and bubbles. Last year, Secret Foodies hosted The Local Harvest at Wilhelminas, where guests enjoyed tasty cocktails and great food. We also got them to give us a great recipe for a Dry daiquiri you can make at home – click here.
