Over the past few decades, our lunch hour has dwindled down to a lunch 30, and long Friday ‘working’ lunches are but a distant reminiscence of the good old days. But thanks to Tequila Mockingbird, that’s all about to change. Paddington’s favourite Latin American inspired haven is putting the casual back into Fridays with an all-new Throwback Friday lunch menu that promises to see off your working week on a high.

The specially curated Throwback Friday menu will be soundtracked to a nostalgic playlist of your favourite tunes while you throw back the best spicy margaritas Sydney has to offer. If you’ve not yet stumbled upon Tequila Mockingbird’s unique Latin American fare, the Throwback Friday menu is a great place to start your culinary journey. 
The rich cultural history of Latin America means you’ll find a diverse and unexpected blend of dishes and flavour combinations, like the Tuna Ceviche with aji panca, corn and nori – a dish that marries Japanese techniques and flavours with locally sourced, native Peruvian ingredients forming its own fresh, flavourful Peruvian-Japanese hybrid cuisine known as Nikkei. 

You’ll also get to try signatures like Tequila Mockingbird’s mouthwatering Prawn Taco served with koji, XO and togarashi; plus their famed Market Steak, expertly cooked to melt-in-the-mouth perfection over the parrilla (an Argentinian open-flame grill) and served with flavourful chimichurri and O Couto pepper for just $50pp.

After a rough couple of years of WFH and now manoeuvering to hybrid working, a chance for some IRL team bonding is a very welcome initiative. And let’s face it, if team-building is your MO, nothing builds a team quicker than Tequila!
