The Tasmanian Wine Festival returns to Hobart in February and here’s how to score a VIP experience for the weekend!
Tasmania is renowned for supplying some of the world’s best produce and there’s a festival dedicated to celebrating it. If you love cool-climate wines, fresh seafood and fromage, you’re going to want to book flights to Tasmania in February. For three days (18-20 February 2021) the Tasmanian Wine Festival will set up camp at the beautiful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart. Get lost in the beauty of the gardens while discovering and tasting the finest wines Tasmania has to offer, alongside the best local food and live entertainment.
Wine lovers will be in heaven with over 30 Tasmanian winemakers setting up for the weekend. You’ll be able to taste your way through the best drops from Frogmore Creek, Pooley, Clover Hill, Swinging Gate, Small Island Wines, with more to be announced. This will be complemented by a stellar food lineup where you can expect to see freshly shucked oysters, lobster rolls, wheels of brie cheese, and all the usual suspects.
The main stage will welcome local and interstate musicians to feast your ears for the day. The program is yet to be announced but you’ll be able to dance the afternoon away with a wine in hand or make yourself comfortable on the grass with a picnic blanket.
