Get ready to boost your culinary skills at home with these virtual cooking classes from Sydney Seafood School.
Need a new recipe to tackle while in iso? You’ve come to the right place. Although Sydney Seafood School might not be running their famous in-person cooking classes, the team have launched SSS@Home, bringing virtual cooking classes to the living rooms of foodies across Sydney.
Helping to give Sydneysiders something to do while at home, SSS@Home will see the cooking school send out a goodie bag stock up with all the ingredients you need plus detailed step-by-step instructions and video links to help you cook along with your favourite Sydney chefs. Think of it like attending a cooking class at the Sydney Seafood School, but without the need to leave your own kitchen. Genius.
Each week a new recipe will be released, with these kits ($45) designed to feed 2 people generously. The recipe for the week will be released on a Monday, with punters able to collect their kits on Fridays from the Sydney Fish Market or select Harris Farm Stores (including Drummoyne, Wetherill Park, Bondi Beach, Potts Point, Lindfield, St Ives, Manly, Newcastle, Bowral and Orange). Don’t want to leave your home? If you like within 15km of Sydney Fish Market you can score delivery too!
Throughout May, SSS@Home will see three delicious at-home recipes ready to be mastered by you from the comfort of your kitchen. The week of May 15th sees Australia’s best risotto chef Alessandro Pavoni (from Ormeggio at The Spit) demonstrate the secrets to preparing classic seafood risotto. Next up (week of May 22nd) you’ll be mastering the art of fish tacos (with all the trimmings of course). And on the week of May 29th is a demo of how to cook black pepper crab, Singapore’s second nation dish, rivaling the famous Chilli Crab.
Get in quick as these kits sell out fast! To find out more about SSS@Home and to take part in one of their upcoming virtual cooking workshops, click here.
