Supper Club Series, A Sydney Solstice Event

Play, Sydney / 31 May 2021

Secret Sounds presents four unique events where music lovers and foodies unite.

As part of the Sydney Solstice, Secret Sounds have combined the best of live music and delicious food and beverage to bring Sydneysiders four epic events. Supper Club Series will celebrate the best of Sydney hospitality and entertainment over four nights of fun. Expect a lineup of food by Australia’s most renowned chefs, beverages by the best mixologists and purveyors, and live music by famed entertainers. If there’s an event you go to this Sydney Solstice, it’s the Supper Club Series between Thursday 10th of June and Sunday 13th of June. These events will be hosted at the iconic Mary’s Underground venue in The Rocks and one surprise venue that is still to be announced.

Food and Music for the Soul – Thursday 10 June

Kicking off the celebrations will be legendary singer-songwriter Archie Roach and Australian iconic Mark Olive. The two will come together at Mary’s Underground for a night of storytelling of First Nations culture. Guests will enjoy a menu highlighting Australian Indigenous Cuisine in its most gourmet form, created by Mark Olive. This will be paired with incredible stories told in a song by Archie Roach.

Dinner at Nonna’s – Saturday 12 June

Then, take a trip to Nonnas as the best of Italian cuisine is showcased at Mary’s Underground. Donny Benet will transport you back in time with his smooth 80s Italian disco tunes. Combine Donny’s tunes with Toby Stansfield’s (Head Chef of Fabbrica Pasta Shop) delicious handmade pasta and authentic sauces, along with a selection of minimal intervention Italian wines, and you’ve got a match made in heaven. This is a true Italian feast for the senses.

The Dip 10 Year Anniversary – Sunday 13 June

Continue the long weekend shenanigans when The Dip returns for one night only at Mary’s Underground. The Dip was a restaurant inside the legendary Goodgos Small Club that opened in 2011 by dynamic duo Andrew and Bianca Levins. Serving up the perfect nightclub eats including burgers, hot dogs, and Southern BBQ, it was one of Sydney’s first American-style diners. Celebrating 10 years of The Dip, the team will be presenting a brand new signature hot dog for the night. You’ll be able to work it off on the dance floor with a lineup of DJs you’d typically see at The Dip – HOOPS, Mitch Orr, Halfway Crooks (Levins and Captain Franco), Joyride, Ariane and more.

Brunch Feat. Special Guest – Sunday 13 June

Ten Hats will be taking the concept of brunch and turning it on its head. This is no ordinary brunch, but a party featuring hyperactive beats by Clypso. Combining breaky snacks on a surprise venue dancefloor, AM-inspired cocktails and Clypso’s iconic basslines, this is sure to be a party to remember. It also features a very special guest who is planning to crash the party. Infamous for throwing dream, one-off dinner parties around Sydney, Ten Hats is the passion project of four familiar faces in the local hospitality and nightlife scene including Anna UgarteCarral (The Old Fitz, Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year 2020), Elizabeth Mitchell (Alberto’s Lounge), Ella Stening (Native Drops) and Maddison Costello (Sidehustle DJs). Expect it to be big.
