Stomp Your Own Blend At A Two-Day Wine Festival

Drink, Events, Festivals, Sydney / 7 February 2023

The Rose Garden at Centennial Parklands will be transformed into a two-day wine wonderland

This March, as Centennial Parklands Rose Garden blossoms and blooms, Australia’s leading winemakers will be heading to the scenic stomping grounds for a weekend of wine tasting, grape stomping, entertainment and delicious food at STOMP festival.

If you’ve ever wanted to turn your foot to the ancient art of grape-stomping, now is the time to step on up! Dating back as far as 8000 years, grape stomping is said to determine the life of the wine months, even years down the road.

Going far beyond a gimmick for the ‘gram, advocates say the foot provides more control over the wine’s flavour profile allowing winemakers to customise tannin structure and reduce seed breakage, which can create harsh, off-flavours.

For $49pp, event-goers will be able to get ankle-deep in the action with the opportunity to stomp their own blend, guided by the wisdom of master winemakers sharing secrets of the cellar. Your ticket includes a glass bubbly on arrival, a cheese-tasting plate, grape stomping and a bottle of wine to take home.

Dive feet first into Centennial Parklands and enjoy a full day of entertainment including a charming cocktail corner backdropped against the picturesque rows of blooming roses and manicured lawns. Plus, enjoy the fruits of Sydney’s bountiful food scene with a plethora of satiating snacks from stall holders.
