The name is a nod to spontaneous fermentation, a principle dear to The Odd Culture Group. Formerly the Odd Culture Bottle Shop, this transformed space epitomises the group’s mission to make discovering, tasting, and enjoying accessible to everyone.
SPON boasts a daily rotating open-bottle list, predominantly wines, ales, and ciders. While the house team selects two wines (white and red), guests curate the rest. What’s intriguing is that any bottle in the shop can be nominated for inclusion, making for an exciting, exploratory experience.
This pioneering concept offers affordability and availability. Patrons can relish a glass at a fraction of the usual takeaway price, featuring wines from Italy, France, and Australia with a minimal intervention theme.
