Sydney’s favourite festival of light, Vivid, is coming back in 2021.
It’s one of the most iconic events of Sydney’s annual events calendar. But in 2020, like so many festivals and events, Vivid Sydney was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, we have some very good news to share. The crew behind Vivid Sydney have revealed the festival of light is returning in 2021 for another year of light, music and ideas.
Mark your calendar: Vivid Sydney will be making its long-awaited return from August 6th to 28th 2021. It’s set to be an exciting line-up of visual artists, music makers, and big thinkers, with a program of exciting and inspiring events. And it’s set to be a big boost to NSW’s economy, with the event attracting over 2 million visitors to Sydney in 2019.
So, what can you expect for Vivid Sydney in 2021? They’ll be large-scale light installations, inspiring projections, free events, cutting-edge music performances, thought-provoking talks, workshops, conferences and more. The program is split into three categories: Vivid Light (installations), Vivid Music (live performances) and Vivid Ideas (talks and conferences). Find out more of what to expect from each below!
